  • I don't know where to start, what should I do?

Start by telling us about your project in a few lines: room, style, colours, intended uses (curtains, seating, cushions, etc.), and an approximate budget.

On the Contact page, you can write to us or book a video call, phone call or showroom appointment. We will guide you towards the most suitable fabrics, finishes and services for your project.

  • Can I buy your fabrics as a private individual?

Yes. As a private individual, you can purchase our high-end furnishing fabrics by the meter for your curtains, cushions, armchairs, headboards or wall hangings. You have access to the same collection as professionals, with public prices displayed on the product pages.

You can then either entrust the making-up to your own craftsperson, or ask us for more comprehensive support (fabric, made-to-measure production and, if needed, installation).

  • I am an architect / interior designer: how can I work with you?

We work with architects, interior designers and decorators in France and internationally. You can contact us by email or phone, or book a video call or showroom appointment via our online calendar, from our Contact page.

Our role is to offer you high-end, unique decorative solutions, taking into account your aesthetic and technical constraints so that your projects are truly elegant. We can present our own edited fabrics as well as a curated selection of curtain tracks and poles, wallcoverings, partner editors' fabrics and lighting, to help you build fully coherent projects from A to Z, on advantageous professional terms.

  • I am an upholsterer or workroom: how can I open an account or place an order?

Upholsterers and workrooms are at the heart of what we do. To open an account, learn about your professional terms or place an order, simply write to us via our contact form, telling us about your business and the types of fabrics you are looking for.

We have built our collection around a key point for you: fabrics that are very pleasant to work with, regular, reliable and designed with the workroom in mind. If you wish, we can also present a selection of partner fabrics (Marvic and Sette7), tracks (Interstil) and silk wallcoverings (Antonia Claudie) that complement our own line.

Our aim is to offer you a palette of materials and technical solutions that are beautiful, pleasant to handle and reliable over time.

  • Do you sell only through showrooms or can I also order directly from you?

You can order directly from the Maison, whether you are a private client or a professional. In some countries, we also work with partner showrooms and agents. We can either direct you to a nearby point of sale or handle your project directly from Paris. In all cases, you benefit from the same level of care and follow-up from a dedicated fabric editor.

  • Do you still supply fabrics from the former Destombes / Détombe collection?

Yes. We still supply many fabrics from the historical Destombes / Détombe collections, which have been integrated into the Antoine d'Albiousse catalogue. If you have samples or reference numbers under that name, there is a good chance that we can still provide them, or offer an equivalent fabric woven in the same spirit and to the same high quality standards.

  • How can I request a fabric sample?

Samples are sent free of charge, both to professionals and private clients.

If you have spotted a fabric, simply tell us its name, colour and, if possible, the project and approximate yardage you have in mind. We will prepare the samples and send them to you promptly.

Our fabrics are often even more beautiful in real life than in photos: handle, texture, drape, subtle shades. Seeing and touching a sample allows you to confirm your choice with confidence.

  • Do you offer personalised advice to help choose fabrics or colour schemes?

Yes. We can help you choose between several fabrics, build a harmonious mix of materials and colours (velvets, linen, stripes, tapestries) and suggest alternatives if a fabric is not suitable for your intended use or timescale.

The more information you share with us (room, light, preferred colours, technical constraints, lifestyle, presence of children or pets, budget, approximate dimensions), the more precisely we can guide you towards an optimal result.

Our aim is to save you time and help you make safe, confident choices.

  • Can you help me estimate the yardage needed (curtains, cushions, seating, headboards, etc.)?

Yes, we can provide yardage estimates for your curtains, seating, cushions, headboards or wall panels, based on the dimensions and type of installation you are planning.

These estimates give you a realistic order of magnitude, which you can then refine with your upholsterer or craftsperson where applicable.

  • Do you offer made-to-measure curtains, cushions, seating and other finished products using your fabrics?

Yes. If you wish, we can either recommend trusted craftspeople, or manage the making-up of your curtains, cushions, headboards or seating using our fabrics. We can also handle the ordering of tracks and poles, and arrange installation.

  • How can I know if a fabric is available from stock or made to order?

As a rule, our entire collection is held in stock. This allows us to respond quickly to most projects. For large yardages or certain references, it may be necessary to produce part of the order.

For any order, we invite you to contact us via our Contact page or email us at contact@antoinedalbiousse.fr. Within 24 hours we will confirm the availability of the requested references or, where necessary, the estimated lead time for additional production.

  • How does order validation work (payment, cutting, preparation)?

    Our process is as follows:

    1. You provide us with the reference, colour, required yardage and delivery address.
    2. We check actual availability and any additional lead times.
    3. We send you an order summary with the amount to be paid.
    4. Once payment has been received, we cut the fabric to order, prepare the parcel and arrange shipment.

Because the fabric is cut specifically for you, the order is considered firm once payment has been received.

  • What are your response times for emails and how quickly do you process orders?

We aim to be very responsive:

    - emails are answered within 24 hours (working days),

    - for a fabric in stock, we usually validate, prepare and ship the order within 48 hours of receiving your payment.

For more complex orders (large yardages, made-to-order production, making-up and/or installation), we provide an indicative schedule from the outset so that you can plan your project with peace of mind.

  • What are your delivery charges and from which amount is shipping free?

    For mainland France:

    - a flat delivery fee of €35 applies,

    - shipping is free for orders of €350 incl. VAT or more.

For international deliveries, costs depend on the destination country, parcel weight/volume and chosen carrier. The exact delivery cost is always specified at quotation stage or when the order is confirmed.

  • Do you deliver only in France or also internationally?

We ship our fabrics and products within France and worldwide.

Depending on the country and the urgency, we choose the most suitable carrier to ensure reliable and timely delivery. If you prefer, you can also organise transport yourself with your own carrier: in that case, we prepare the parcel and coordinate collection from our warehouse.

  • How are the fabrics packed for shipment?

All orders are prepared in our warehouse in Verneuil-sur-Avre with particular care.

Fabrics are rolled onto a tube to avoid creasing, protected with plastic film and then packed in a sturdy cardboard box suitable for transport. Velvets are kept horizontally on a roll to prevent crushing and must never be transported in a vertical position.

Our aim is for the fabric to arrive ready to be worked, in impeccable condition.

  • Can I return or exchange a fabric that has been cut by the meter?

No. Fabrics sold by the meter cannot be returned or exchanged.

Each order is cut to your specific requirements after payment has been received. These lengths cannot be put back into stock and resold as they are. If you notice a proven defect or an error in the reference supplied, please contact us quickly with photos and your order number. We will review the situation on a case-by-case basis.

  • Where are your fabrics manufactured?

Our fabrics are designed and manufactured exclusively in Europe, mainly in France, Belgium and Italy. Very occasionally, some specific techniques, such as certain embroideries, may be produced in India, but this remains marginal within our collections.

This European focus ensures a high level of quality, close monitoring and constant dialogue with the mills.

  • What kind of mills and manufacturers do you work with?

We work with European mills and workshops that are attentive to fibre quality, respectful of manufacturing processes and committed to preserving textile know-how.

Our fabrics are developed hand in hand with them: refining the weave, finishes and colours until we achieve the handle, drape and depth we are looking for.

  • Which materials do you mainly use?

We prioritise noble natural materials, mainly linen and cotton. These fibres offer a beautiful presence, everyday comfort and durability over time. Some references may incorporate technical fibres when required by the intended use, but the core of our collections is built around these natural materials.

  • What is your environmental commitment (sourcing, transport, preserving know-how)?

Our commitment is based on a few clear choices: mainly European sourcing, partner workshops that care about materials, the environment and savoir-faire, and fabrics designed to be durable and to be passed down from one generation to the next. We design timeless collections that stay in our catalogue for many years instead of launching and discontinuing references every season.

This thoughtful catalogue management limits end-of-line clearance, and allows for more responsible stock control. By offering fabrics made to last - for curtains, sofas or armchairs that remain in place for decades rather than being replaced every five years - we also reduce the ecological impact of interior projects. Producing in Europe further helps to limit transport-related impact, with shorter supply chains and a better-controlled logistical footprint.

  • For which uses are your fabrics suitable (curtains, seating, cushions, wall hangings, etc.)?

Each fabric is associated with recommended uses: curtains, sheers, linings, cushions, headboards, seating and banquettes (for domestic or intensive use), wall hangings or decorative panels.

This information is shown on the product pages and in the technical datasheets. If you are unsure (very intensive use, damp environment, busy family home), please ask us: we would rather advise against a use than let you make the wrong choice.

  • Where can I find technical information and care instructions for each fabric?

For each fabric, a detailed technical datasheet is available from the product page.
There you will find the composition, key technical characteristics and care instructions, helping you check whether the fabric is suitable for your intended use and lifestyle, or that of your client.

  • Can I download a PDF datasheet to share with my client, upholsterer or design office?

Yes. From each product page, you can generate a PDF datasheet summarising the technical information for that fabric.
